NatureMuse > Bald Eagle about to catch a fish. There were about 15 eagles perched and fishing in a cove in Clifton, Va. I had been photographing eagles perched in trees, when I turned around and spotted this eagle diving for a fish. After the successful catch, the eagle flew to a tree to enjoy the fish. The next day, there were 12 eagles within 20 yards of each other perched in two trees providing more photo ops.

NatureMuse > Chilly Mockingbird Sitting for a Portrait.

The temperature was about 30 degrees and very windy as I took a tripod out of the car to shoot raptors. This mockingbird flew quite close, perching on a post and appearing very curious, he watched every move as the camera went on the tripod. After about 10 or so shots I said good-bye and walked towards a nearby hawk, which did not oblige with such a pose as this mockingbird.
