Autumn Colors with Snow and Fog, nearing Wayah Bald, NC, elevation 4500 feet in the Smokies. Was visiting for the weekend and driving & hiking with a friend. As we neared Wayah Bald, the light mist and fog turned to ice on the leaves. A few hundred feet higher there was light snow and fog creating exciting light and moods that was different at every turn on this high mountain road.

on November 7, 2009North Carolina had snow before Massachusetts? Wow!!!!
This is gorgeous. It almost makes me excited for winter, given the new canvases that will so soon be upon us. Thank you for that. I've been sort of in a funk about fall being over and trying so hard to enjoy the last yellows of the big oaks. We had a good frost last night and I capitalized on that this morning, 100 or so shots! Now, I just need to download them. I think I might just enjoy perusing and commenting around the dailies gallery tonight instead. Keep 'em coming! Nice work.
